Michael Jackson had his (Neverland), and other rich men have had theirs…I’m thinking of Willaim Randolph Hearst, or Louis XV (Versailles), or maybe some of those Renaissance Italian Princes (Ville De’Este, Isola Bella).
What always struck me…once these guys build their Xanadus, they never seem to spend much time in them…why is that?
They usually have a lot of money and can pay people to build them. That’s how any people have built their own Xanadus.
The interest is in the journey and not the destination.
