My Google-Fu is weak.
No real news about that; Amazon lists the hardcover as #16 among all books about Illinois; the Kindle edition is listed as #71 among all Kindle biographies of political figures, so I’d say: not great.
Is there a way to track all Amazon sales?
On the book’s main product page, you can see under Product Details that it is “#52,544 in Books” as of this posting.
That only ranks that edition; audiobooks and Kindle editions are ranked separately.
There is no Kindle edition and the audio edition is ranked #889,826. It’s a bomb, as the vast majority of almost all politician-penned books are. They’re written more for the prestige that comes with being a published author than from any sense of making a buck.
As a librarian, I had no idea this was even out. It’s not being pushed by any of the vendors.
Where does the NY Times get its info?
Huh, that’s weird it’s not linked to the print version.
The interview he did on “The Daily Show” made it clear that there was no point to the book. He couldn’t talk (or write) about anything material regarding the Federal case against him. Couldn’t even quote from the full tapes.
Who would buy a book from this guy when he wasn’t going to disclose anything of interest regarding the only thing most of us know about him? DOA.
Which brings up the point: What is the worst selling book that was plugged on TDS?
