How are places like Little Caesars HOT-N-READY pizzas made so quick?

This pizza was about five years too late.

I’ll note that my five year old opinion has moderated slightly. I still ain’t got no love for their regular $5 Hot-N-Ready, but their Deep Dish for ~$8 is where it’s at. Second best chain pan pizza after Pizza Hut, IMO.

We had three Hungry Howie’s open locally in the New Orleans area in 2014, and all closed after about a year-and-a-half. Not sure what happened. My family had tried them several times – even a bulk order for my son’s birthday – and enjoyed their pizza very much.

This makes me wonder. I assume they’re franchised. The fact that all three of the local ones closed at about the same time makes me think they were all owned by the same person or outfit. Maybe the Hungry Howie’s model has especially tight margins and is difficult to run profitably (cf. Quizno’s).
