How are you heating your home this winter?

Liquid Propane. I expect the price to be much higher this year, so I am installing baseboard electric heaters to replace some of the load.

I intend to strap my cats to my feet on the few nights cold enough to matter. (Central FL)

I’m building my own little “Matrix” with drugged up homeless guys in vats in the basement. Still no AI thing, so I just put drugs in the feeding tubes. Having a bit of a problem with the efficiency though. It’s not putting out near the heat or power generation they promised in the movies.

Yes, of course I’m kidding.

Put more protein in their goop.

I’d be heating with a wood stove if I lived in Detroit with all those abandoned buildings they can’t afford to tear down. The neighborhood could look so much better by spring.

In my condo in Japan, the gas hot water system reservoir can be re-routed through a network of pipes that extend under the kitchen and living room floors. It’s nice to walk around on in socks, and doesn’t take long to heat up the whole place.

My next house will have fireplaces though. I miss fireplaces.
