Yes, I’m talking about bra sizes here…
I know about D and DD…personal experience tells me that a DD is pretty much on the large-ish scale…but a G?? I mean, holey-frickin’-moley! I’d think they’d be just…well…MASSIVE…
The gal that owns 'em claims they’re a 100% all-natural, farm-girl, corn-fed product of Missouri…as for the rest of her, she’s 5’4" and 160lbs…which I can understand with those mams…
Seems like since I moved to Missouri, I’ve seen more gals with large chests than I ever did back in Texas…maybe it’s something in the water…
…so, just how big ARE 38G’s?? Twice the size of DDs? 3x? Inquiring minds want to know…
Well, the 38 bit means that the measurement around her ribcage, just below her breasts is ~33". The G means that the difference between the round the ribcage measurement, and the across the largest part of the bust measurement is ~8".
Compare that that to a say 38DD, where the across the bust measurement is ~4" greater than the under bust measurement, and well, 38G is pretty big.
I knew the 38 referenced a measurement around the ribcage, but wasn’t sure how it related…thanks…
This should give you an idea. That’s Kerry McFadden, supposedly a 38F.
I wear a 38F, and one of the cups fits comfortably on my head as a hat. To put this in perspective, I can rarely find a hat that fits because my skull is about 23" around.
Wow…I mean…WOW…that’s just hard to fathom - Kerry’s an “F” and this gal is a “G”…
As well, bra sizes tend to lose any standard beyond DD. For instance, I usually buy DDD. Some stores go from DD to E. Some go from DDD to F and skip E.
In any case, G is really big.

Ok, I get the picture (heh) empirically - but what about anecdotally??
I no this post is years old but was interesting and I have a question since we are on this topic . First at 56yo this is all new to me because I am, well to be blunt a transsexual woman and presently on my 23rd month of HRT Transtion and have grown to my wonderful surprise a beautiful pair of 38-C boobies all naturally so far,and still growing like weeds im a garden. Lol
My question is this. Firstly I use a boobie bra calculator app i have on my phone and now to the question.
I measure a 36band, that’s under my boobies around the rib cage, with an around the boobies measurement of 43bust. Now i type that into the calculator and it gives me a 38-DDD bra size or an alternate of i believe a 40-F don’t hold me to that one because I forgot, it’s been a while since I done it. Anyway where does the #38 come from??
My measurements are a 36 and 43 that is a difference of 7inches… i Get the A B C D Is one letter for every inch. But i don’t get how where the #38 is coming from. I would think i would be a 36-DDD or 36-G because G would be the 7th letter from A but then the D DD DDD come into play and messes me all up. Just like the original post some
one said this lady would measure 33 ribcage and I believe 38 bust but that can’t be correct. I no the bra calculator is a starting point and should try bra’s from that point. Like I said im a 36band 43bust and and it calling for me a 38-DDD and thats too big. I fill my 38-C bra’s completely full and can wear at biggest a 38-D but its honestly just a little bit big…at least until May of 2024 then I will have my breast augmentation. But first I have my M2F SRS bottom surgery or vaginaoplasty. Ya me…but for the record I think I have grown pretty big boobies naturally in only 23months of hormones and will continue growing just as any other girl does when they start puberty. So around 5 year’s total growing time but the majority of my growth as already occurred.
If anyone can explain how my 36x43 turned into a 38-C i would appreciate it…
No matter what the math is i wear a 38-C without any questions on that.
