If a woman is immersed in water, can she ‘feel’ her breasts floating? If a woman with relatively large breasts is in the water, is there a greater chance one could slip out of a swimsuit?
Would it interfere with swimming?

Yes. Not unless your swimsuit is way too big. No, unless they are so large they interfere with lifting your arms.
So the old “Boy, she’ll never drown!” line has some actual validity then?
Regarding the breaststroke: Look Ma, no hands!
