I heard an interview sometime in the last couple of days with Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. He said the Harris campaign has 125,000 election volunteers door-knocking and doing other things to get out the vote in Arizona.
When he was asked what evidence he saw of a Trump GOTV effort, he replied, “It’s… invisible.”
That reminds me of how doctors would tell the king/czar/president/etc. that they were in perfect heath (even if the ruler was hours away from dying) as to not get executed for treason.
So let me get this clear. Not too long ago a presidential candidate was disqualified for giving an overly emotional “Yeaaaaaahhhhh!” at a rally. But Trump isn’t disqualified for fellating a microphone at a rally? Standards have really changed.
Considering that a very large number of voters have already cast ballots by now, Trump can only win if he gets the mother of all November surprises in the next 2 days.

You’re 100% right that the result is darn near baked-in already. Where you’re probably wrong is assuming it can’t possibly be trump already winning. IMO he’s got well over a 50% chance as of today.
My personal opinion: there’s a tiny part of his brain that does realize that things are not going well. And it’s causing cognitive dissonance with his massive ego, and his internal worldview in which “I am the very best at everything there is!”
The little part of his brain realizes that his stump speeches are now meandering, word-salad filled airings of grievances, and that his fans are leaving his rallies in the middle. His ego spins that into, “it’s something I call the ‘weave,’ it’s really brilliant, no one’s ever seen the likes of it.” And, “My so-called advisors tell me not to say this, but I’ll say it, because it’s true, and it’s what you all want to hear, amirite?”
That little part of his brain knows he very well could lose, and what he’s been doing isn’t turning things around, the way he’s been able to his whole life, up until now. His ego keeps trying to outshout it.
You’re not wrong about making excuses as to why he didn’t win, but he’s been claiming elections were rigged as early as 2016. It’s a pattern of behavior on his part to lie, cheat, and claim victory no matter the situation.
And “outshouting it” seems to be succeeding, at least with his supporters. Topics being discussed on a predominantly right-wing message board that I look at from time to time:
– Closing in on N[ovember] 5, Trump has the momentum.
– Minnesota Somalis for Trump.
– 4 charts show how Trump is winning in early voting.
– Where’s Pelosi, Shumer, Newsom for Kamela [sic].
There was also “Your news sources told you these hoaxes and you (probably) fell for them.” It contains such horseshit as, “Trump called ‘neo-Nazis’ fine people,” “Trump saved nuclear secrets at Mar-a-Lago,” and “Trump used teargas to clear a crowd for a Bible photo op.”
Yeah, he’s outshouting it, and they’re still lapping it up.
