One thing that can help Trump win is that there’s lots of cheating schemes happening, like the “True the Vote” movement challenging thousands of perfectly qualified voters because they’re perceived as Democratic-leaning. And schemes similar to those hatched in 2020, some of which Trump is under indictment for, are likely also in play.

I think it’s less pretending we are behind and more desiring to crush and abase the opposition. We don’t just want to win the presidency; we want to delete the GOP from the American scene and win every single downballot race. Even if Trump is bound to win in red states, we still want to win every winnable race in these states as well.
There’s a strange tactic among sports fans where they pretend to be a fan of team A (but are actually are a fan of team B) and make huge overconfident claims like there’s “no way they can lose” to team B even though it’s clearly going to be a close contest. What they are really doing is sowing seeds they can reap later where they can gloat even harder on how team A choked away a sure victory.

Fair enough, but I have not heard that the GOP has a strong GOTV operation this year, whereas Biden did and now Harris does.
Winning isn’t good enough. This man needs to be buried deep. He needs to lose so bad that his own followers are ashamed to be associated with him. His picture should be on the front page of history books, captioned “Never Again” and/or “We Have To Be Better Than This”.

The point is to avoid the complacency that IMHO to a large extent set off this whole debacle back in 2016. For any person with half brain, Clinton was a superior candidate to Trump, but she was far from perfect. Still as of November 6 2016, everyone knew that she was going to win, the only question was by how much. This meant that it was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your dissatisfaction by staying home voting 3rd party, or even casting a joke vote for Trump, for shits and giggles.
The last thing we need is for those pro-Gaza Democrats who are smart enough to realize that as bad as the Biden administration is for the Palestinians Trump would be worse, to feel that they can safely “vote their conscience” since Harris will win anyway.

In NY it is normal to allow a convicted felon to stay out on bail until the first appeal. Mind you, the judge doesnt have to do that, and the judge certainly can put restrictions- such as no consorting with felons. So, any hope you might have of trump being in prison during the last days of the election are extremely slim.
Biden was behind like 1 or 2%, sometimes ahead, and sometimes more behind than that. Harris is only running about 4% better than trump. So, it is like a 6% difference- that is tiny.
The Biden admin has been better than most think for the Gazans. And trump would be a nightmare.
Electoral college, same as 2016. Biden was up SIGNIFICANTLY more than Kamala is now last election and he won by a handful of votes in several key states, at this point Kamala is not close to where she needs to be. Trump is currently still winning this race, we have the momentum, but we are not in the lead. Other than that, the obvious answer is cheating. He has the supreme court solidly in his corner, so even a close win like Biden got last time would not be enough. Stop this, anything short than a complete massacre is likely going to be a Trump win.
Donald Trump can win due to shady tactics, or due to complacency on the left. I’m more worried about the latter.
Well, he might call Wall Street and say to them “tank the economy and I’ll give you everything you want,” but their response could simply be, realistically “we always get everything we want anyway.”
