How can I alter MP3 files?

I use my foobar2000 music player program for windows to tag (ID3, APE) my music files (and convert them between formats).
It is the best program you can use if you are on windows (alternative prgm; Winamp).

It is free and open-source. So has many nice add-ons you can download (besides the built-in feature of playing and converting various audio formats); like crossfeeding so your music sounds more as if you are hearing them from loudspeakers; though for some it may sound to altered to enjoy.

I even use my Ipod Video and my Sansa Clip+ with foobar2000. Though you have to install a custum operating system on the Ipod called “Rockbox” to be able to avoid the Itunes program. It is an easy install since they have one-step install programs that can do it for you on their main Rockbox site. I find it worth it.

Best feature is how light on resources this program is. Think of it as the google chrome of Windows music player programs.
