I’m subrcribed to a Streamlink Service and would like to start burning some of the programs (radio talk show) to disc so that I can listen to them in my car, at work, etc. Windows Media Player will let me save the files to my library but will not seem to allow me to burn them to disc. (why? I’ve already paid for the content…) Also, once I’ve added the files to my library, where are they saved? i.e. where do they reside so that I could point an external app to them in order to burn them?
just a bit of info…
XP Pro
Creative Audigy Platinum soundcard
I’d like to have options to burn as .MP3 as well as .WAV
Any suggestions as far as an app that will allow me to make a portable copy of this media? (Feel free to address me as a noob here, I’m not very much up to speed with audio manipulation…)
Have you paid for the OWNERSHIP of the content? Check the fine print, you may have a license that lets you listen, but not burn. So it could be illegal to burn them, which might explain why it’s difficult.
I think there are many programs that do what you want to do, a.k.a. record your soundcard output into an actual file.
When I search for software I usually try to zero in on a product that is absolutley too easy use and one that takes up very little system resources. That way they always work cleanly and never lock up.
I am sure other dopers can reccomend much “better” software, but probably not anything simpler or more reliable. It also has a bulit-in sound editor, which is nice when you record a radio program and leave it on too long, and need to clip the file down.
Of course once you have the audio captured into a file, you can just use your normal burning software to make a CD.
