I was wondering how does one get the training to get into the field(s) of video conferencing, and perhaps a related field of fibre optics? I’m not even sure how to ask the question, so the more details or suggestions, the better… - Jinx
Well, one way is to be in the right place at the right time.
I am part of a small IT team at a casino. Today our satellite based training system was hooked up so employees can take part in training classes with 25 other casinos. The instructors are based in Las Vegas. I hung around with the guy that hooked it all up over the last 3 days, asking questions and generally just helping out as I could. I also helped out another vendor when they hooked up our Tandberg video conferencing unit which communicates via ethernet over our WAN.
