How can I sell UK shares in the US?

I have shares in several UK companies. I live in the US and want to sell the shares. What are my best options? Is there any way of selling in the US or do I need to send the share certificates to a UK brokerage company? Are there any companies you can recommend?

I know in the US you can trade stocks at most major banks. Maybe get ahold of a UK bank that has offices in the US and see what they say?
