Someday! Someday!
And I grew up in Franklin Twp, PA.
Wikipedia Says this
According to MapQuest, I’m about 86 miles from Franklin, FL. The next closest Franklin appears to be Alabama.
Wisconsin has at least two Franklins; one is incorporated and one is not. I’ve lived pretty close to both of them.
From here:
My Franklin is smaller! And there appear to be multiple Franklin Twps in PA but then, what else would you expect?
Slight hijack here, but that’s my Dad’s hometown, VunderBob. I’ve got relatives all in that area, in Holland and in Suffolk, and in the Tidewater area in general. I had wondered if you were near any of them, and now I know.
Uh… I don’t know how far I am from any Franklin, btw. Sorry!
266 miles from Franklin, OH in Warren County
114 from Franklin in Coshocton County
70 and 77 miles from the two nearest Franklins in PA.
Okay, this is too weird. I know exactly where Franklin’s is … and I’m about 1.5 miles from it! I’m on Gallatin Street, off of Hamilton, behind the Safeway, btw, Emilio Lizardo.
In Pennsyltuckey, we has us a bunch of Franklins. One in Venango County (up towards Erie), one in Cambria County (outside of Johnstown), one in Chester County (near Philly), and another in Westmoreland County (near Pittsburgh). Then there’s the Borough of Franklintown in northern York County (south of Harrisburg) which is 18.5 miles from me, and the eastern border of Franklin County is around 33 miles.
Huh! Aparently I live 20.55 miles from Franklin, CA. I didn’t even know there was one! I drove down Franklin Blvd. today to get to a friend’s house. I guess if I’d kept going I would have gotton to Franklin proper.
I don’t think it’s a real town. I think it’s more of a locale. When I look at it on the Mapquest map, it appears to be about a dozen square blocks in the middle Elk Grove, CA.
19.81 miles from one of the four Franklins (according to MapQuest) in NJ.
I’m 66 miles from the same place. It actually used to be a Western Pacific (later became Union Pacific) railroad depot. Might have been a city at one point, but now, it’s really just a ghost on the far, far southwest edge of Sacramento.
This would be the same place I am 20.55 (see above post). It’s really more of a neighborhood.
I live about 40 miles from Franklin, TN.

My dad grew up in the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. Mom and Dad both graduated from Franklin College there. My dad tried to get me to go to college there. There’s daily mandatory chapel there, so, no thanks, Dad. The town is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from here. Do I like Franklin? Dunno, I never frankled.
I, too, am in Franklin County and just a few miles from the area of town called Franklinton. One of the major landmarks there is Greenlawn Cemetery, which Mapquest tells me is 4.35 miles from me. I’m 75.77 miles from the Franklin that’s in Coshocton County (near, well, Coshocton - basically east of Columbus) and 88.17 miles from the Franklin that looks like it’s halfway between Dayton and Cincinnati, in Warren County.
