How come alot of women have big bums?

[sup]Do not follow the link below if you’re easily offended.[/sup]

Hey, Snooooopy, you mean a torpedo like this?

[sub]Sorry, I couldn’t resist.[/sub]

Way to make me feel macho.

Remember the English band Queen? A little song called Fat Bottomed Girls extolled the virtues of Rubenesque ladies to the world.

The lyrics are true - my SO is a big girl, and I’m not about to trade her in on a leaner, meaner model…

Because they marry for love, not money.

I read in the newspaper once (again, not the best source for scientific information) that butt men were better romantic interests because they were less likely to be jerks.

I do have to say I’m glad I’m well-endowed in both areas. :stuck_out_tongue:

Apparently my blonde hair kicked in.

Tristan - I think I love you.

  1. I have to applaud Mermaid here:

2.) I don’t find the fashion magazine “ideal female shape” at all attractive. I LIKE curvy women.

3.) As Woody Allen said in “Play it Again, Sam”, I want “something I can sink my teeth into.”

4.) Lest you women lose heart, there are entire websites devoted to women with large butts, by men who adore same. In fact, if you look hard enough you can find such shrines to all sorts of physical traits – small butts, large chests, muscles, extreme hairiness. This is because there is a lot of variation out there, and because websites are the work of people who either are OBSESSED by things, or people who want to make a buck (or both).

You haven’t been to any women’s prisons lately, have you?

A better question, considering that there are more women than men on the planet, hence they are the norm:
Why do men have such small, scrawny asses?

Snooopy, silent Rob, you guys crack me up. I’d forgotten about that.

Just an idea on the calorie discrepancy…could there be an issue of Calories (kcal) vs calories(cal)? The numbers still aren’t quite right, but its an idea. 80 000Calories = 80 000 000calories.

Unless I forget how to convert.

First, I have to say that I am happy to see that foolish oryctolagus cuniculus back here on the board.

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t find anything attractive about women who look like boys. Maybe it’s because… THEY LOOK LIKE BOYS.

So I just happen to love the way Lola looks (no-one would ever mistake her for a guy) and she seems to be quite attracted to my scrawny white ass.

[sub]Disclaimer: Lola is more than just a great looking woman, if she didn’t blow my mind it wouldn’t matter what she looked like.

P.S. She tells me that she’s only in it for the hot monkey sex…[/sub]

I would be very interested to read that particular article and see what is the reasoning that brought them to that conclusion.

Mainly because I am one . . . and I’m not one.

So to speak.

Curves rock !

So… how YOU doin’?

But how did your ass get above your shoulders? Oh, 'scuse me. AssETS. I get it.

Vision it seems the OP has been answered pretty well, with surprisingly few hacked off wimmins.

The added weight from this would be gradually worked off DURING the pregnancy, I assume. It’s kinda like a bank account, you put in money every week, but also take it out every day. At the end of nine months, you have deposited a total of 84,000 dollars (or quid), but that is not the balance, nor has it ever been. Recall the little bamino also has some weight, so add in that seven to twelve  pounds.

But what do I know? I’m just an UncleBill.

Well, part of the difference is that JavaMaven’s number is for pregnancy only, whereas mine was supposed to be for pregnancy and nursing in a hunter-gatherer society, where children are normally nursed for 2 years

Even so, I’ve been playing with the numbers and I can’t get anywhere near 9 million with a reasonable set of assumptions.

Recomendations I found on the web are 300 cal/day during pregnancy, 500 cal/day during nursing - remember that the tyke is getting larger and starts to need more and more calories to maintain and add weight.

Add in an assumption that carrying the child around in a H-G society probably requires a few more calories than our modern lifestyles need, so 400 cal/day pre-labor, 600 cal/day nursing with a 2% per month increase in caloric needs as the child grows, I get 633145 total calories. If one or more of my estimates are low, I can see going up to a million calories, but still not 9 million. Even the mothers base caloric needs in that time frame only adds another 2 million or so.
