…even with the Sound turned “off.” by that unremarkable bit of Dell hardware that functions as On/Off and Volume Control?
Up til recently — maybe just before Tech Support revivified my hard drive from the Blue Screen of Death — I had to turn the Sound on and off.
But yesterday, I forgot to turn it on, lurched into a Hold 'em site, and started playing. But then I happened to notice the Sound was off, yet I could hear all the usual stuff: cards being shuffled, chips clattering on the table, the “Bonk” when players checked, etc.
So I tried other things - another poker site, the URL for SnagIt tutorials, and even a Ray Charles CD. Bingo. All of 'em played.
Could it be this feature was there all the time and I didn’t know it?
