How did faith healers in ancient days do what they do

It’s hard to say how much effect the new drugs have had since treating most cancers is a multi-prong approach.

Never said that prescription means effective. (Though with all the testing that’s done, there must be some effect to get approved) You’re lumping drugs that have not even reached human testing with approved drugs and then condemning the lot as not effective.

That’s why so few drugs reach the market. They test out as not effective and don’t get approved.

this disucssion of prescription, etc should be its own thread - its not related to ‘faith healing’ except on a tangent of ‘placebo/belief’ factors in medicine.

Are there any websites that make incredible claims about modern faith healing that actually provide information that can be checked out?

I’d have to say that the discussion of the efficacy of various cancer treatments is straying far from the OP about faith healers and is therefore out-of-bounds.

Which is not to say it’s not a worthwhile topic for discussion and I would encourage you to do so…in another thread.

The Greek word is dynamis.

Incidentally, I started a thread about Mark 5:25-34 a few years back.
