How did Oz's Simon Adibisi keep that hat on his head?

IN the HBO series Oz, Simon Adibisi has that little hat on his head that somehow stay on it.

What kind of hat is that?

How did he keep it on his head?

Ahahahahaha!!! I’ve always wondered the same thing. It’s like a turd on his head!!

It was even lampshaded in the show itself when Ryan O’Reily asked him how he did it.

As far as real life, I assume Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje just had to spend a lot of time adjusting his hat and putting it back on when it fell off, and the editors removed those shots. Or maybe he used tape or glue to keep it in place.

Ha ha. My wife and I used to joke about that all the time. My wife’s theory was that he had it sewed onto his scalp.

In reality, I’m guessing glue or some other adhesive.

Those who’ve only seen Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje on Oz or Lost would probably be surprised to see him when he’s not in character. In real life, he’s a soft-spoken Englishman with a law degree.

Yes, had to be something like that.

It’s conceivable that he had one single dreadlock on the top of his head that the hat is somehow tied onto.

Except we’ve seen him w/o the hat, and he doesn’t have one.

I shave my head. When it grows out to about a one day stubble it acts kind of like velcro. I’m pretty sure the hat just stuck on there. Haven’t seen the show in years so I’m guessing he had stubbly hair.

I seem to recall him being completely shine-headed, but may be wrong.
