How did "The Fugitive" series end? (2000 edition)

I remember the remake version of “The Fugitive” was trotted out by CBS with great fanfare during the fall of 2000. I even believe it got great ratings at first. Apparently, though, it sank into obscurity over the season, and alas, hasn’t been renewed for this year.

So, how did the series end? Did he catch the real killer? Was it the one-armed man like it was in the original? Or was Kimbel really the killer this time?

With cancellation.

I watched several episodes, so I can tell you that the one-armed man was definitely the killer. Kimble had almost convinced Jerrod of this fact, though Jerrod was still chasing him, of course. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure I didn’t see the last 3-4 episodes, so I don’t know where it left off. I had the impression they expected a second season, so they probably didn’t wrap up the story.

It’s too bad it got the ax. I liked it, since they were able to use some updated concepts, such as an online group that believed Kimble’s story and would give him anonymous help over the 'Net.

As long as we’re spoiling, I only saw one episode, the first of a two-parter where he meets up with a cute lonely widow (the lovely Stacy Edwards) and they start to make New England happy together until this criminal couple whom he scared off recognizes him on TV. The second-part had something to do with a bank robbery they force him to do or something, but I never saw how it ended. Anyone know what happened?
