A coworker of mine has a excel spreadsheet that has a flashed based game in it. She has a tetris like one and a few others. Anyone know how this was made?
Making games in Flash is standard stuff for Flash aficionados. Tons of tutorials available to show you how to do it. Google for “Flash games tutorial” and go nuts.
As for embedding them in Excel…
“Insert” -> “Object” -> “Flash Document” or something similar depending which version of Excel you have.
I received this too. I suppose the question is, why did they use Excel to transport them?
I believe the idea is so that you can pretend to be working while playing a game. It’s not abnormal to use Excel at work
Hmm I don’t seen to have the option to insert flash as an object in my verison of Excel
It’s almost universal for system administrators to set their email gateways to block executable files and scripts (stuff like .pif .exe .js) and pay little or no attention to document files like .doc and .xls
That’s nothing, one version of Excel had a littleflight sim easter egg embedded in it by the developers. A previous version apparently had a little doom-type joke.
