When he gets banned, he’s going to be disappointed by the absence of a long thread of LOLcats and pictures of people getting struck by lightning.
Well, if the evidence in the OP doesn’t turn you, nothing will!
I like how yesterday one troll was calling me “grampy” and today from this troll it’s “you kids.”
I’m not convinced they’re two different trolls. This ‘I’m old, therefor I know shit’ thing may be an attempt to incorporate the lesson about the uselessness of calling other people old in a debate.
The rest of their shtick is strikingly similar.
For the same reason when I hear “train wreck” I instinctively click the link.
I always like the troll mind. They start out serious. Dozens of people explain the stupidity of their statement. They realize they’ve made a fool out of themselves and begin backpedaling: “I have outsmarted you. It was all a ruse. Haha UR teh dumm” not realizing we’ve seen it all before…a lot.
Well, sometimes they claim they were just joking. And it isn’t only the simple trolls who pull that shit.
Yeah, I really hate the complex trolls. Stupid partially-imaginary trolls.
Yes, it’s best not to listen to imaginary people.
Yea god, I remember all the types who tried to pull out the ‘Hah! This was all a psychology test for my class! hahahahaha!’ after being shown the massive level of idiocy they displayed back in the USENET days.
Yeah, that was greeted with another round of humiliation for the person who tried that stunt.
That fast-talking guy who used to do the Federal Express commercials?
What, you mean the two parties? Their voter-bases are not only very different groups but increasingly mutually hostile – each viewing the other as not merely wrong but The Bad Guys. At the level of the pols and party officials . . . yes, certainly, both parties are owned by the corporations and Wall Street and the 1%. The difference is, the Dems are not wholly owned.
No I didn’t know that and had no reason to know that.
Why should I give a shit what happens in the 8th District in California? I’ve got my own problems out here.
Not to mention, you are wrong. She currently represents the 12th District of California which I also don’t give a shit about.
Tip: To a great many fine and patriotic Americans, the 2nd Amendment is simply not important.
Honest question: What about the Tea Party?
(I know there are some that say that the TP was a result of astroturfing, and others who say the Tea Party is, for all intents and purposes, a third party at this point, but I’m just curious as to your opinion on the matter.)
You mean this district?
Reported.
I was just amazed to learn that we somehow moved the entire city of San Francisco to the Mojave overnight. Do the Giants know where they’re going once they leave KC?
It’s an astroturf/grassroots hybrid – started as an astroturf project but seems to have gotten away from its original funders – but it’s not a third party (yet), just one of at least two factions currently fighting for control of the GOP. In the long run, I don’t see it as having any staying power – its demographic base is just too old.
If it does have any staying power, that will be based on its character not as a populist movement but as a party of “local notables” fighting the national bigwigs – millionaires v. billionaires.
JFTR, the 8th District used to be San Francisco. Redistricting redrew the boundaries of the 12th (which once included portions of The City and San Mateo County), and moved the 8th to the Mojave.
(San Mateo County is still split between two districts now – the 14th and the 18th)
