How do actors view crossover "actors"?

How does a real, professional actor (like a Meryl Streep) view someone who is a pop star and ends up cast in a movie, like Beyonce? Do these crossover stars get any respect from actors who studied acting for years, came up the hard way, and made it by being truly good actors? Or is there just a lot of eye-rolling in the Hollywood back rooms?

I imagine it depends on whether the crossover artist appears to take the craft seriously or comes in with an inflated ego and an attitude that “anyone” can act. Demeanor on the set, behavior toward the crew, and levels of entitlement and expectations would also play a part, I suspect.

from Entertainment Weekly

Explaining himself on Shade 45:

It depends on ability. Frank Sinatra was an original and very talented singer. He was also an excellent actor. Same with Mel Torme.

Any actor who wants to be respected by the big names had better learn to show respect to everyone on the crew. They are all professionals trying to put a scene together perfectly. Only when everybody gets it right is it perfect, so every professional deserves to be well treated.
