How do hybrid car batteries handle the number of charging cycles?

What model year is the OP’s CRV? Battery tech on a 3 year old cheap e-scooter is night and day vs an e.g. 15yo hybrid automobile.

Some of that volume is probably from the need for extra cooling as well as having to use less power-dense cells than a pure EV. But they also seen to have fairly poor packing efficiency on top of that:

(the rectangular thing in the rear is the battery)

Honda’s EV offerings are fairly piss-poor, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if their hybrid tech is also not that optimized. But you can get away with worse battery tech on a hybrid since it’s still a fairly small portion of the total drivetrain volume.

It’s a 2024. Got it last Christmas.

Eta: Weird behavior. If I start the line with 2024, it chops off the first 2.

most scooters have 18650 Lion batteries - the same Tesla used in their first cars … mine has IIRC 112 batteries in a 14s 8p configuration - the Tesla had about 7000 of them. Nowadays 21700s start creeping in … and some cars have moved on to prismatic cells or pouches, but Tesla again stuck with cylindricals …
