I have a Toyota Matrix, and I hate the fact that the third spoke is bottom dead center. I want my old Tercel wheel back, so I can put my hand at the very bottom for long freeway drives.
Are all steering wheels compatible? Do I need a Toyota model? Can’t I just find an Tercel (or something) Toyota wheel in a junkyard? Can I find something besides a Toyota?
Wow, that’s just dumb. I must have been really tired when I started those, and I couldn’t search for a while. Please use only soft, rotten fruit when throwing, please.
Why don’t you have a technician take a look at it and see if he can take it off and move it to where the spoke is in the four o’clock position? It will probably move one of the other spokes in front of the cluster, though. I haven’t sold a Toyota steering wheel before but the ones from modern vehicles I have sold are not keyed so they can only be installed one way. Just a thought. Getting a wheel from another vehicle is something that none of the techs I know would even attempt.
