You could either leave it in the back alley (if your city is like mine) and someone is likely to pick it up (I do this regularly- I pick all kinds of stuff up in alleys and sell it). Alternatively, there are many pages on Facebook where you can either sell it or give it away. I think Kijiji does free stuff, too.
