A whole effing lot of soda.
I would say that I buy (and drink), easily, more soda than is sold by many small retailers.
So I thought to myself (as opposed to someone else?) “Why not cut out the middle man, and buy some cola for dirt cheap directly from the… well… whoever the hell the local merchant buys it from”.
I guess that would depend on whether or not you stick to ein brand or not.
Ohhhhh. E.I.N. = (Employer Identification Number) A unique number assigned by the Internal Revenue Service to every employer in the United States for the purposes of identification. Similar in purpose to the Social Security Number assigned to individuals.
If you go the fountain route, I don’t think you’ll need one to buy syrup and CO2 from the local distributor. If you’re talking pallets of bottles, then you’d probably need one to demonstrate to the wholesaler you’re worthy (read: a retailer).
Call up your local bottler and ask if they sell to the public. Look in the phone book under “Pepsi” or “Coca Cola” or whatever company it is that owns the beverage you drink. I did this once a few years ago and they told me they’d be only too happy to sell me as much pop as I wanted. So I drove my car up to their warehouse, got them to forklift out as much Crush Cream Soda as would fit in my trunk and backseat, paid them, and drove away with a year’s supply of the stuff.
