How do I save a webpage?

I have used Firefox for a while and love it. The only thing I miss about internet explorer is how it asks you when you a bookmark a page if you would like to make it available offline. Is there a simple way to do this using Firefox?

Also, sometimes when viewing a webpage I just want to save what I’m viewing on the screen. When I try and save the page I end up with at least five or six different file types. The only way I know how to just save the image on the screen is to print, scan, and then save the image, but that is just way too tedious. I figured there has to be an easier way. Is there??

If you want to keep a copy for offline viewing, is it safe to assume you won’t need the hyperlink functionality in the saved page? In that case, you could just print the page to PDF. I forget whether that’s a standard feature on the Windows version of Firefox, but you can always add “print to PDF” with CutePDF.

Try Alt+PrintScreen, followed by Ctrl+V (paste) in any image manipulation program, even one as underpowered as Microsoft Paint.

Ctrl+S will bring up the Save as… dialog box with Web Page, complete at the file type.

You might end up with lots of file types because lots of files types are associated with the page. Unless it’s just a plain html page, there should be other files. And why not? Windows will gladly provide you with folders to keep them in.

You can save a graphic image of an entire web page with the Firefox extension ScreenGrab https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1146/.
