How do marijuana users know when they've had enough?

If a person is really, really, really, stoned, they’ll basically be at a point where they are unable to operate the lighter and hold the bong.

Otherwise: The effects of smoked marijuana peak about 20 minutes after smoking. A user unsure of the potency can smoke a little, wait 20 minutes or so, smoke again… and repeat until they are at a happy spot. As stated earlier, if one is really stoned then you’re liable to forget about taking another hit.

Punch Baloons

It’s a toy; you blow it up, and using the rubber band handle, you can “punch” it away from you over and over again. Or wrap it around your head, if you are a bit twisted like me and my college friends…

Okay, I almost never do this, but that had me laughing very hard and missing smoking at the same time. That was a really classic set up.
Especially being that I remember that feeling well.*

[sup]2[/sup] Cicra 1986 or 1987, we all thought it was a great idea, we never bought the wagon.

BTW: Thanks Wee Bairn.

I thought you’d had enough when the chips and Twinkies™ were gone.

When you get up to take another hit, but you forgot where the lighter is; then while looking for the lighter you forget what you were looking for, and get something to eat instead.

I have seen fainting (or blackouts) by a couple of non-habitual users.

This occurred about 15 minutes after smoking. The blackout was preceded by a spinning head and nausea and in one case it lasted for more than an hour. Both subjects were female.

A friend once described the head spinning phenomenon as the ‘whirling pits’.

I’m trying to figure why people do smoke. Its truly bad for your lungs, no denying that. Did anyone ever try to inject it?
As for the answer to the OP, when the person with you says Well? Are you going to asnwer my question? And you can’t remember what the question was, or why hes asking you an hour after he asked the first time…

I read a long time ago that the high is partially a learned response (which is one reason why it affects different people slightly differently). Thus, an experienced person can recognize the effects of pot at lower doses than non-experienced users. Thus, experience will tell one at what level they are at.

And I disgaree with the “high” or “not high” statement above. That is like equating “drunk” with “sobriety” and leaving the levels of tipsy to puking drunk out of it. I’ve seen plenty of people smoke a spleef with a tiny amount of pot and just look relaxed, and others that are red-eyed-wasted-and-unable-to-finish-sentences. There are plenty of stages of “duuuuuude” involved.

Well, as a “Marijuana User” I can only say that until you try it you will continue to make stupid posts about what “Marijuana” users may or may not do. Just the other day I was with my friend “Jose” and I said, “You know what, Jose?” and he said “What?” and I said “You know what would be great right now?” and he said “What?” and I said “Some Marijuana!!” and he said “Yeah, Gringo, Let’s go get some Marijuana!”

Sheesh. Only Hal Fishman calls it “Marijuana” anymore.

Look, a-hole, it’s called POT, WEED, BOO, SMOKE, LUNCH, 420, etc., but never “Marijuana”.

I don’t smoke “Marijuana”, I smoke fucking pot. And you should too.

Pot?! Get with it granddad. It’s called block, flatroll, gear or skunk.

Lunch!!?

For me, I knew I had smoked enough pot when I was 26 and a sophmore.

But really, back in my smoking days, there was a point where you just weren’t getting any higher and smoking more was just wasteful and wasting pot was something I just didn’t do.

If your use of marijuana has anything to do with your incivility and propensity to insult people over something as trivial as a choice of words, then perhaps it’s time you cut down a bit. On the other hand, if you’re just a jerk all the time, then perhaps you should stop posting here altogether.

Moderator Note Happy Wanderer. Perhaps You’re doing a dialogue from a movie? If not, then calling a poster an “a-hole” outside of the Pit is forbidden. And the tone of your post just isn’t what we expect in General Questions.

I think the OP has been answered sufficiently and given the subject matter it’s time to say goodnight to this one.
