But seriously, hasn’t this CT died? If you google “moon conspiracy” you get about 10 debunks per (not updated) denier site.
The flag was waving because the flag pole was inserted into the lunar surface using a twisting motion, back and forth, back and forth. The top of the flag was supported by a wire. There is no atmosphere to dampen the motion, so after the hand was removed the flag continued to follow the previously applied twisting inertia.
Simple really.
I recall the Apollo 11 flag “waving” when struck by dust, and eventually falling over.
On second thought, the change in camera angle as the LEM lifted off may have made it appear to fall.
