How do they make diamond tipped drill bits

Hello,
I just purchased a diamond tipped drill bit for a project at home. My daughter asked me how they get the diamonds to “stick” to the bit. I have no idea. The only thought that I had was that liquid metal is poured into a bit mold and the diamond pieces are in the liquid. Then centrifuge is used to get the diamonds to the surface as the liquid metal is solidifying. Of course that sound stupid and I don’t really have a clue. Does anyone know how they do it?

Disregard my question. A google search brought up a SD thread on this topic.

Sorry Mods.
