How do you attach/detach a file to/from AOL e-mail?

Here’s the situation:

My mom needs to attach a file from one computer to an AOL e-mail, then receive and detach it onto another computer.

I don’t have AOL. If I were in the house, I’m sure I could figure it out fairly quickly. But I’m in NYC and my mom’s in Philly, and she’s just starting to learn how to use her computer.

So–to anyone who has AOL–could you give me step-by-step instructions on how to attach a file to an e-mail and then how to detach it on the receiving end? (So that I can forward these instructions to my mom.)

BTW–she’s using Macs. I don’t know waht, if any, diff. there is between the two platforms where AOL is concerned.

Found some instructions on-line. Are these still accurate, or out-of-date?

Those instructions are current enough, toad. The “attach files” button has moved, but it’s reasonably easy to find on the email form. Other than that, the instructions are the same.

Just a note if you send/rec multiple files AOL will convert it into a single zip file which can be confusing to newbes. If that is the case it might be better to send 1 file per email.

Thanks, folks.
