Now that I want to sell it, I think I do need one. But how do you find reviews of lawyers? There seem to be review sites for almost everyone else.
I find every professional I hire (from plumbers to electricians to lawyers) via referrals. Ask your friends and neighbors if they can recommend a good real estate attorney. Send an email to everyone in your area, post it on Facebook, whatever. I find that professionals are more likely to do a better job if they know that they will end up with 2 dissatisfied clients if they fuck up your job. It also reinforces with them that customers talk.
Call the local real estate board. Ask for the top 3 selling agents in the area. Call them and ask for their recommendations as to the best real estate attorneys in the area.
Call those attorneys and pick one.
You could ask the local bar association for a referral.
