How do you find apartments?

I am looking for something on the 'net that list apartment buildings for the state of MA, but not apartments that are available to rent- just the buildings themselves.

Apartments.com and rent.com don’t list them by state, you have to be more specific.
How do you find something that lists all the apartments in a state?

Try the yahoo.com classifieds, that’s how I found my last apartment. It can be searched by city, and in my case was very useful.
