A large part of the problem seems to be that rather than the Netscape/AOL merger improving AOL’s suckfest of a browser, AOL’s suckfest of a browser dragged Netscape down to its level. From the admittedly short amount of time I had it installed, I got the impression that it was intended to be modular, aiming for “all things for all people” with clock, calendar, datebook, e-book reader, etc. add-ons in the works. In other words, it was going AOL.
Sad to see what used to be a good piece of software going flush down the tubes.
DL’d it 3 times THREE! On cable modem, installed clean each time and it STILL had curruption and fucked up areas… mostly in the email.
And its like a vampire on the system. Take a picture with my webcam or just save a picture on the hard drive and it suddenly has a NETSCAPE 6 ICON when Netscape 6 wasn’t even open or being used! Just to VIEW THE PICTURE? N6 has to open and it has to be viewed through it! I uninstalled the piece of shit and could no longer view the pictures I saved while it was on my system.
