Anyway…
my co-worker asks if being on the birth control pill (any of the myriad of varieties) can straighten your hair. She claims to have had curly hair until she started the pill and experienced a gradual change to straight hair over 7 years.
The major active hormone in BCP’s is progesterone. Hormones can do my weird things but I don’t believe straightening hair is one of them. Anyway, 7 years is a long time for the pill to act if it was the cause. I would tell her to chalk it up to coincidence.
