How about where you keep silverware? In the silverware “draw?” I mean you draw it out to access it. It might actually be closer to “dror.” Definitely one syllable.

Don’t think that generalization is quite correct, as I know how to pronounce mis-che-vous. However, I have found that folks who mispronounce michievous also tend to say “irregardless”, which is worse than nails on a blackboard to me.
