Why does a Christian have more of a right than any of us to share with us the point of view of GOD???

Ohh, you waskly… guy…
I’m simply appealing to the OP’s Christianity. Just a take on the issue. If you are a devout believer in God, do you not believe that you are here to help others?
On the subject of terminal illnesses, it would seem you could be relieved of duty if/when you are so incapacitated that not only are you unable to do the work, but that you become a cog in the wheel, so to speak. My take, only, is that at that point euthanasia is not only acceptible, but proper. And there is where Kavorkian, et. al., continue the work by allowing a fallen soldier some comfort before passing on.
This is all IMO, and just trying to give a viewpoint for the OP. No one is telling anyone what to do, but rather sow the seeds of thought for her.
Here is an article from the Catholic Encyclopedia regarding the Catholic teaching on Suicide:
Thank you! I just kinda wanted to know, because a friend of mine like a month ago went through some suicidal stuff. And he was talking about how he’s really religious and stuff, and i was like “but you sliced your arms open all over” But he (he’s young ) kept talking about how he’s not christian but he’s pagan. And all this other stuff. And he got really deep into somethings that I had no clue what he was talking about. And so I made it my mission to find out how Christianity feels about Suicide. I am a christian, but this is something I don’t know about, because I never really bothered with the thought. But thank you all

Well, most people use the “thou shall not kill” as the reasoning behind suicide being wrong. But not to long ago, someone told me that the original translation was closer to “thou shall not murder”. Meaning, that killing in defense or during wartime, or for mercy isn’t wrong. This made sense to me since, God was always sending his people to war.
Now, if that is true (and I don’t know for a fact that it is) suicide isn’t nessesarily bad.
I have heard people use the “you body is a temple” thing. But you could use that one for just about anything we do to our bodies.
Basically I think that the OP should ask some Priests and/or Preachers. But have them CITE verses. Don’t ask them what the Church believes, ask what God SAID. The Church is pretty bad about saying that God says certain things and having them be wrong, if not completely contradict what God said. “Fundies” are forever condeming people dispite God having said not to judge people. So, get the info, from the Bible, and don’t let them take stuff out of context.
