How does one choose a CPA? Advice appreciated.

So the wife and I have decided we need a CPA to help us wrangle our (modest) riches, but neither of us has any idea what we’re looking for, really. We need advice on taxes, investments, and retirement.

So does anyone have any advice on what to look for in choosing a good CPA?

IMO, for that list you’re more looking for a financial advisor than a CPA.

CPAs do with your money what you tell them, financial advisors give…well…advice.

Though you might do both, getting a CPA for your taxes.
