Our county leans the other way. They want to be absolutely certain that a voter isn’t turned away because of possibly inaccurate data. I’ve been an election official for several years, and at every election we’ve had names on the eligibility list of people who’ve died or moved out of the precinct. Every election we make notes for the auditor. Next election, the voter is still on the list.
I guess if the auditor attended the funeral, the voter might be removed from the rolls.
