You do realize they are meant to resemble German beer steins, right?
I don’t think the mustard jars were intended as practical drinking vessels. Far too small. But if you like them, that’s fine.

It’s an 8 oz. container. That’s a standard size juice glass I think.
Just occurred to me to add that I do have a favorite glass.
When I was at GE (which was as stodgy and bureaucratic as you might expect) they thought we’d think GE was cool if they gave us all GE pint glasses. And it is a really nice glass, with the GE logo etched in so it won’t wear off.
I still hated working for GE, but since these were only given out at my site, there can’t be too many around.
Huh. They’ve always left of their own accord for me.
When we got married, we registered for gifts, as was common at the time. So we got china and crystal. We still have a set (10 or 12, too lazy to count) of 2 different sizes of wine glasses and water glasses. We rarely use them.
We also bought double-walled glasses, which hubby prefers. At the beginning of COVID, he broke two in succession, so we ordered 2 boxes more, for a total of 12. We still have two of the original style, plus all six of the new style in the cupboard. The other box is still in the basement, because we haven’t broken a glass since.
About a year ago I went through all our drinking glasses and mugs and got rid of about 3 dozen items. That included McDonald’s glasses (not the contoured coke ones - some other shape that was weird), Ikea glasses (neither of us really liked them) and a bunch of odd shapes.
We have 1 employer logo glass, which is the sole survivor of 8 that hubby got for his 5 year gift. It’s almost 30 years old, and there’s no way we would get rid of it. We also have various glasses from Starbucks and Hard Rock Cafe.
And we have Glencairn whisky glasses. We spent a week on Islay and went to all of the distilleries while we were there, and we we have whisky glasses from all of the distilleries which were open at the time. They always get handwashed, so it’s unlikely that any of them will get broken.
And there’s some special beer glasses, brandy glasses, etc. I should start putting all of them in the dishwasher - might get some more cupboard space.
I pre-ordered these a few months ago, and kind of forgot about it. Now they are being shipped to me. I guess I’ll have two more cups soon.
I hadn’t realized that those were just standard Bodum cups.
We saw our pepper grinder on a science fiction show - it was being used to deliver a shot into someones arm.
McDonalds is running their glass special again. As long as they are giving out glasses, I have to avoid ordering a medium menu. Don’t need more glasses.
I recall reading something years ago that pretty much the entire contents of Dr. McCoy’s medical kit on the original Star Trek was various salt & pepper shakers.
True in spirit, not quite in fact. Two of the “instruments” were indeed Danish salt and pepper shakers. The rest were made by the prop department to resemble them. Close enough, though.
We accumulate small bowls, not glasses.
This thread has reminded me to take all the mason jars out of the cupboard and put them under the counter so I can put all my glass and cups in the cupboard.
I still need to find a place for my fine martini and cocktail glasses so they don’t get broken.
We have two shelves of glasses, one of bigger drinking glasses we use for dinner, the other of smaller glasses. We had 8 matched glasses at one point, but they tend to break (they do that if you drop them) so we replace them from thrift stores. We have four matching glasses, then a set of 3 and 2 we just bought. We also have some in there which we almost never use since they are hard to drink from (square top).
Now for bathroom glasses we use red plastic glasses we got when my wife got a press pass to the opening of a new section of Sesame Place in Langhorne PA in 1981. Been using them since then.
Our glasses have life expectancies and don’t multiply. Coffee mugs, on the other hand…
I have roughly a brazillion pint glasses from my days of being a barfly. Befriend the bartenders and you get freebies. I also have waaay too many coffee mugs, I don’t drink coffee but I used to. Elsewise, I have a couple of rando glass cups that I’ve gathered over the years.
