I’m not going to pad my figure by counting up the running and exercise stuff I do.
I walk pretty fast, about 6 km/hr, (3.7 m/hr). I walk to work, which is very close by, so about 2 km every day at least, plus a decent amount of walking around at work. I also tend to walk to the store instead of drive, unless the near place doesn’t have what I need. In the countryside you tend to need to drive more. It’s a huge pain in the ass to live here without a car; I know, I didn’t have one for almost a year. If I’ve gone down to Tokyo I’ll walk a lot more, several kilometers to and from various places.
Probably comes out to an average of only a mile or three on a daily basis.
