I still say that the typing class I took in summer school many years ago was the most useful class I ever took!

Second try: 73/71
Third try: 136/136… ok… I used copy and paste.

67/67. I thought I’d do better than that. I hate to think what my shorthand speed would be these days. Not a lot of call for Pitman these days, though.
90 / 90. Which honestly seems a bit high.
I know when I’ve been tested in the past I’ve rated 81wpm at best, so I think that test is being a bit generous - especially since I haven’t been working for the past year and my typing speed has noticeably dropped.
From 63/63 at first attempt to 76/71 at the third (when I didn’t bother to go back and correct mistekas).

Plenty fast enough for me. I just about never type like that - just typing something that’s already written down, the typing form of dictation. I usually just write what I’m thinking, and as long as I can type faster than I can think, I’m happy.
I think at about 50 words per minute pre-coffee.

Just tried it once, I guess I’m ok. I’m a lot faster (and sloppier, I just noticed) when I type my own thoughts. I can usually type about as fast as I type, and I notice that when I’m forced to type on, say, my Blackberry PDA, I tend to think more about what I’m going to write and thus write much better sentences with a lot less nonsense strewn in.

109/108 on my first try. Was going at about my average speed, no crazy finger work overdrive or anything I’m usually a little bit slower than that when typing off text, like that, and a little bit faster when typing things out of my head.
Honestly, most of my typing prowess came from online gaming and from writing papers at three in the morning.
Well, yes, as that stuff was typed on a regular PC, not on my Blackberry.
Don’t have time to take the test, but my last test was at around 60wpm.

Hey, that’s kinda fun on my jelly keyboard. Totally messes people up when they try it for the first time, but my frequently-spilling self has gotten used to it.
I do sorta miss that rapid-fire clicketyclicking noise my nails used to make, though.

Could’ve gotten a little more but I kept deleting my mistakes. Maybe I’ve improved, but for longform tests I’ve taken with temp agencies I’m usually at 90 net words per minute.
I’m still dazlled by the 120 wpm scores on here. I suppose not that I’ve cracked the triple digits, an extra 20 wpm is certainly within reason.

I can’t tell if it’s harder for me to copy something or to just type whatever’s in my head. Either way, there’s no way I normally type that quickly.
