How good are veterinarians at treating humans?

I can’t explain this, but my wife’s dosage for Tramadol is the same as my Golden Retriever mix, even though the weight difference is significant. In fact, Tramadol has been re-classified(?) lately because it came to someone’s attention that people were calling in to the vet for “refills for the dog” and taking it themselves .

I once stole my Golden’s anti-anxiety medicine (thunderstorms). Did the math in my idiotic way (1/3 my weight? 3 times the dose for me!). Wound up in emergency room.

Then checked in psychiatric hospital. Stealing meds from my dog was, at the time, was a new low.
