It doesn’t look quite as cool as the F-22, but is it as effective? How about relative to, say, the Su-27?
It is most similar to the F-16, after Block 40 or so, which gave the F-16 improved air-to-ground capability.
In terms of physical size, CAP combat radius, g-loading, mission profiles, weapons loads, radar, and other meaningful points of comparison, both aircraft are in the same ballpark.
The Eurofighter has an edge in max speed, thrust-to-weight, acceleration, and so forth, due to the fact that it is a twin-engine aircraft and the F-16 is not.
