How great they are, these British films

I don’t know what there is about the British film and TV series programs, but they seem to have an unusually large number of really good ones. We watched the DVD of “All Passion Spent” last night, which was wonderful.

Wendy Hiller plays an 85-year old matriarch of a very dotty family. Every single actor in this 3-part TV series was outstanding. Where do they find these wonderful actors? It was very funny and touching too.

Oh without a doubt. I’ve recently been on a bit of a bender and seen Casanova, Blackpool, The Second Coming and Revengers Tragedy, and was completely blown away by all of them.
