Several times I and others have pointed out that human high-jumpers clear comparable heights despite being unable to jump more than 1 meter by pivoting the centre of gravity. There seems to be absolutely no doubt that humans cannot jump higher than 1 metre. It has been studied in some detail.

  2. Have you ever seen a kangaroo jump a high fence? The always scramble in their own bipedal fashion. In fact one of the traditional roo fencing techniques in Australia is a double strand of barb over the sheep netting. The animals always land atop the fence and so often become tangled in the bard and die.
