This is related to a thread I already made, but I was debating with some clown on a racist comment said by Shapiro:
And he defended it with this:
THat first one was just him pointing out the cultural differences. In Saudi Arabia, that is one of the countries that has slavery and where women are treated terribly. He probably should have pointed out that there are some good things about Saudi Arabia, but if you are offended by that tweet, then you clearly didn’t know the context already and need to get educated on it.
I don’t understand. That comment is blatant racism and yet this clown is trying to say it is not. Does he not understand that Arabs just don’t live in Saudi Arabia and are a diverse group? It’s derogatory? How is it not racism?
My sister had a pebble in her shoe once. I told her to take the shoe off and shake it out but she said it’d be rude to do that in public. What’s your opinion?
I have heard it might be practical to develop a pebble-bed type thorium breeder that would have almost none of the disadvantages of contemporary uranium reactors, but we have not made much progress because it would piss off the Saudis, et al.
She should have called the pebble “Dare”. They could have walked, they could have talked together. They could have talked about walking. Dare would have been carried, and when they both had had enough she could have taken him from her shoe, singing “Meet your new road!”.
That’s my opinion.
I’m also of the opinion that they made some seriously weird musicals in the 1970s.
Our OP has a recurring habit of posting OPs about some conversation he had with someone somewhere else and wanting us to opine about it, in a “let’s you and him fight about this” sense.
OP, most people probably don’t know or care who Shapiro is or what random thing he says. Same with random people you happen to discuss things with. If you want to get a real discussion, I’d recommend starting with some topic that actually relates to and might affect real people – some sort of discriminatory policy or practice, a significant current event, etc. Not what some guy who no one knows said one time that you think was bad.
