How is VP selected

In the event the president is removed and VP takes over how is the new VP selected. I have this weird feeling that the new VP will be our president.

25th Amendment to the Constitution

In your scenario, the president (former VP) nominates a new VP who is then approved by both houses of congress.

I have a feeling Pence is dealing with the leaders of congress as we speak.

IIRC this is how Ford became VP after Agnew stepped down. Also how Rockefeller became VP after Ford became POTUS.

I’d say it would be great if we could repeat the series of events – Pence goes, then Trump goes – but I have this bad feeling that Ryan would end up POTUS then, which makes my skin crawl.

My dream scenario is that Trump goes first, an embattled Pence recognizes that he needs to nominate someone visibly distant from the Trump administration and its scandals, and we end up with President Collins or President Murkowski. If it happens the other way around, we probably don’t end up anywhere good.

Maybe if we tweet the right things to him, once of us can get it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Susana Martinez seems like an obvious choice. She’s a pro-life Republican Latina with no ties to Trump or Washington.

The same way girl get pragnent.

My dream scenario: It becomes apparent that impeachment is likely and the circus peanut resigns. Pence becomes president but he is so tainted by association that he won’t be able to govern. He says, you know what- we stole the fucking election, so I’m going to nominate Hillary for veep and step down once she’s in. She gets confirmed and Pence resigns, Hillary nominates Tim Kaine for veep and we’re back where we would be if not for the Ruskies.

Dream on.

But how is babby formed?
