How is your local economy?

How is the local economy in your area? I keep reading about huge unemployment rates and businesses closing right and left. Around here (South Louisiana USA) the economy seems pretty much the same as the last few years. A few businesses have closed and everyone is chafing under the COVID restrictions, but there are help wanted signs outside several small businesses and our county sales tax collections are down only 1%. There was a big drop in auto sales in March, but that business has come back to normal. The economy here isn’t great, this is no Silicon Valley, but it isn’t noticeably worse than 6-8 months ago. How are things where you are?

Florida, Tampa Bay area, tourist economy.
It sucks.

In my town the economy consists of mainly real estate taxes so things are unchanged. The rest of the state has an economy based on gossamer dreams and also remains unchanged, for now. Without an infusion of even more federal money things will get bad for the lower end of the disparate economic scale.
