How Lazy Are We?

For kids in school, yeah. But for librarians, or anyone that does a lot of erasing, and that has arthritis, can be beneficial.

That is a vital tool for draftsmen using the old drawing board method of drafting. Of course the only places that still have board draftsmen are the ones too lazy to get Computer Aided Drafting software.

I’m so lazy that I have two dryers. One is for drying clothes and the other is for storing dried clothes and fluffing them up to be worn.

I’m so lazy that I’m not retyping the post I just tried that the hamsters ate.

I’m a second year college student…need I say more?

Unbuttoning my shirts when I take them off seems like waaayyyyy too much work. I just undo a couple of buttons and pull them off over my head. When they’re washed and all, I just pull them back on and do up the top button or two, and think, “Man, I’m glad I don’t have to button all those buttons.”

I drive to my mailbox which is across the street.

My ole pal Pogo went fishin’ , fell asleep on the bank. He had the pole in his hand, but there weren’t no bait on the hook. That’s lazy.

Apologies to the Walt Kelly estate. I’m too lazy to look up the exact quote.

I’ll often use weather.com to see how cold it is outside instead of just stepping outside.

Along the lines of going out of one’s way to be lazy, I got a new printer but I’m too lazy to hook it up to my computer, so instead I go up to the computer lab and print everything there.

I’m so lazy my apathy needs a nap.

I’m so lazy I can’t count to 1.

I’m so lazy I have someone else snore for me.

Does this really count? It looks lazy, but actually it’s a fair amount of work.

I’m so lazy that I brought a whole jar of jam, tub of cream cheese, a knife and a bagel with me to my desk rather than stand in the kitchen and prepare the bagel normally.

Here’s my laundry cycle:

When all clothes that I will wear are dity (read as: giant pile on the floor) I shove them into my laundry bag and go wash them. Washing entails going outside, across a driveway, and into another house, going into it’s basement, and then I can go to the laundry room. I’ll put then in the washers (we have two, and I need both) and let them go. I won’t be back in thirty minutes when they are done, I usually get around to it at least a few hours if not the next day. By then, someone else has used it and my wet clothes are on top of the dirty washer or dryer. They go iun the dryer, I return in several hours to spin them again, since they never dry in one cycle. Usually by the next day they are back in my room…in a pile on the floor. It gets trickey when there are two piles, one dirty one clean, but I manage. One time, between when I started and finished, it was almost a week before I had my laundry done. This is why I usually do it when I still have clothes for a few more days.

I bring my breakfast into my room the night before, so I don’t have to walk all the way to the kitchen.

I will also IM my brother to talk to him, rather than walk the 6 feet to his room, or just yell.

I’m so lazy that I am going to marry a woman who already has children.

Cervaise, my reaction to your first post was - why involve a plate??? Can’t you just eat off the foil? I suppose you pour soup out of the pan into a bowl, too. You’ve got a lot to learn about lazy!

I gotta agree here. A truly lazy person eats straight out of the microwave or pots and pans. Washing the dirty dishes is accomplished by having them accompany you the next time you take a shower.

I’ve seen cars circle the GYM parking lot several times to find a parking palce closer to the door.

Paraphrased conversation:

rinni - I need to take a bath but I’m too lazy.
Dude - Haha, too lazy to take a bath. Like, you’re too lazy to lie around in some warm water for a while.

True story.
