Why would I care enough to do that? I’ll be dead. Once that happens, I don’t really care what happens to the meat.
My roomie is kinda a busybody and will be peeking in if she hasn’t seen me in the last few hours. Perfect timing, her and her kid are usually heading for bed around 9pm, if I died, in my room, shortly after 9pm I might go 12 hours, but if its later than 10am and I am not up and about, she would probably poke her nose in my room.
If I didn’t show up to work or answer my phone, I’d say at least after a day someone would come and find me.

However long it is until the next Sunday probably. I doubt my work would probably bother calling my ICE number just cos I hadn’t shown up. Dog walking with my Dad on a Sunday is about the only thing I do that combines me missing it being unusual enough and someone who gives enough of a damn to find out why.
Less that three seconds, probably. I’m at home with two small children. It would be, “Mommy, get up! Mommy, play lego! Mommy, don’t lie there, you’re breaking my plane!”.
They wouldn’t know what had happened, but I wouldn’t be alone.
This is really a pretty good idea. Especially if you have pets.
I wouldn’t want to inflict finding my half eaten body on whoever would eventually find me. It would be less traumatic to find a fresher body.
I voted ‘Longer than a month’ but that’s just a guess. How long until my fluids starts dripping through to the apartment below?
Probably 2 or 3 days, maybe a bit longer. I live alone but my best friend has a key to my apartment and lets himself in every now and then (he lives in the mountains an hour and a half or so drive away so crashing at my place instead of going home is often easier for him, particularly if he has a dinner in the city or something else to go to on a school night). He would most likely be the one to find me within a few days, or my work would notice I hadn’t turned up and I presume within a couple of days of being a no-show with no phone call to explain, someone would go over to my place to see if everything was ok (or call my emergency contact, who would check it out after not hearing from me either).
I sometimes wonder if I’m going to be the one who finds my next door neighbor one day. 88 year old widow, lives alone, doesn’t seem to have many people over. I’m not sure if anyone she knows would notice something was amiss if she died one day in there.
If I were to die on a Friday, then I daresay it could be a good 5 days before someone found my corpse. I live alone, and could totally make it through the weekend without anyone noticing (sure people would call and think it awry that I didn’t call or text back, but not to the point of alarm). After a few days of not being at work, someone would call family and people would go looking in my apt. This is a depressingly funny thread.
